Dreyfus-Cortney, Inc. completes the purchase
of Lowery Brothers Rigging Center

Dreyfus-Cortney, Inc. (Dreyfus) is pleased to introduce Dreyfus-Cortney and Lowery Brothers Rigging Center (DCL) with the successful completion of its purchase of Lowery Brothers Rigging Center, Inc. on August 12, 2004 (www.dcl-usa.com). The Lowery operation was safely moved from its Marrero, LA location and integrated with the existing Dreyfus operation located in New Orleans, LA. Lowery’s two other wire rope fabrication and warehouse facilities located in Houma, LA and Lafayette, LA remain in operation at their existing locations. The combination of the two leading marine supply and wire rope fabrication companies into one organization creates a single source for marine and industrial customers to effectively secure all of their rigging, mooring and marine supply needs with one call. For over 50 years each, Lowery and Dreyfus have been recognized leaders in their respective fields, supplying a variety of lifting, mooring and related products to domestic and international customers in the marine, construction, industrial and oil and gas industries.

It wire rope fabrication operation is a leading manufacturer of small and large diameter wire and synthetic rope slings and lines for all manner of lifting and securing applications. All of DCL’s fabricated products are proof tested and certified using owned equipment capable of pull testing up to three million pounds, and it offers these testing services to third parties as well. DCL offers one of the largest and broadest inventories of marine and industrial equipment as well as one the largest wire rope fabrication capabilities in the United States.
