Representatives of Seaward International, Inc.: Protecting Structures, Ships, Environments, Budgets Seaward International, Inc. is a world leader in innovative uses of plastics and elastomer technology. Founded in 1973, the company provides a wide range of products and services to the marine industry, including marine fenders and buoys; elastomer coatings; plastic pilings and timber; and special anechoic coatings and installation equipment. Seaward's Marine Products Division features buoys, fendering systems, and specialty products made primarily from polyethylene and polyurethane. Among these, the SEA CUSHION™ and SEA GUARD™ Fenders and SEAFLOAT™ Buoys are recognized standards in their field. A new product, SEALINK™ Elastomer Chain Link Energy Absorber, reduces peak loads on mooring and tow lines by 50% or more. The Engineered Plastics Division manufactures structurally reinforced composites from recycled plastic, including SEAPILE™ Composite Marine Piling and SEATIMBER™ Composite Marine Timber. Made of 100% Duralin™ Plastic and strengthened with fiberglass reinforcing elements, the SEAPILE and SEATIMBER are impervious to deterioration caused by marine organisms. Primarily, the SEAPILE and SEATIMBER are used as fenders, fender piles, light structural applications, and bridge pier protection. Since both the SEAPILE and SEATIMBER are manufactured in continuous lengths, size and profile can be varied to fit specific customer and project requirements.
