For over 50 years, Dreyfus-Cortney and Lowery Brothers Rigging have each been recognized leaders in their respective fields, supplying a variety of lifting, mooring and related products to domestic and international customers in the marine, construction, industrial and oil and gas industries. In 2004, Dreyfus-Cortney acquired Lowery Brothers creating one company with the unique ability to provide customers a single place to source all of their rigging, wire rope, mooring and marine supply requirements.
The wire and synthetic rope rigging operation fabricates large and small diameter wire and synthetic rope slings and lines for all manner of lifting and securing applications. The wire and synthetic rope fabricated products are proof tested and certified using Lowery equipment capable of pull testing up to three million pounds. The pull-testing services are offered to third parties as well.
Product lines include all sizes of anchors, chain, wire rope, hardware, deck & dock fittings, buoys, fenders, river ratchets, galley equipment and testing services. In addition to distributing its own product lines such as LBNO fittings and PeeWee sockets, the company sources product from international and domestic manufacturers and represents numerous suppliers and manufactures worldwide.

This is a simple “thank you” for the effort that your company and staff put into fabricating new rigging to support the Entergy Operations, Inc, Waterford 3 Nuclear Plant during our most recent refueling outage in April – May, 2008.
We found ourselves in a position where our original rigging, which was still in good and usable condition, was no longer in compliance with our Corporate material handling program.
